I set up PMC Detailing Auto UK because I could see the gap. People spending serious money on their cars and then handing them over to whoever would take them. I wanted to do it differently. One car. One operator. The right products. Time to do the job properly. I am a Gtechniq accredited installer. That means I have been trained and assessed by Gtechniq to apply their graphene and ceramic coating systems correctly. It is not a badge you can print yourself. It matters because a coating is only as good as the application, and a badly applied coat does more harm than good. I am based in the West Midlands and I cover the whole of the UK. I work Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Everything I need comes to your location. No dropping the car off, no waiting around. I do the work where the car lives.

Questions I get asked a lot

What is the difference between graphene and ceramic coating?

Both are chemically bonded paint protection systems, but graphene goes further. The graphene particles in the formulation add hardness and flexibility that standard ceramic does not have on its own, and it handles heat better. My Graphene PRO V2.0 comes with a 10-year warranty. The Gtechniq ceramic system I offer runs to five years.

Does my car need paint correction before a coating?

Depends on the condition of the paintwork. A coating locks in the surface underneath it, which means swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation get locked in too. I look the car over before we agree on anything. If correction is needed, I will tell you straight. If it is not, I will tell you that too.

Do you come to my home or work address?

Yes. That is the whole idea. I bring everything: pressure washer, polishing machine, decontamination products, the coating itself. All I need from you is access to the car and a workable surface. A driveway, a car park, a garage. Any of those works.

How long does a coating job take?

A graphene or ceramic coating typically takes a full day, sometimes longer if the car needs significant paint correction first. A two-stage correction plus coating on an average car usually runs 6 to 8 hours. I will give you a more accurate time estimate once I have seen the car.

What does a Full Valet include?

A complete exterior and interior detail. Machine wash, wheel and arch clean, clay bar decontamination, interior vacuum, surface wipe-down, and interior shampoo using a water extraction machine. The car comes back clean throughout.

Do I need to do anything to maintain the coating after it goes on?

Not much. That is the point. The coating repels dirt and water, which means maintenance washes take a fraction of the time and effort of an unprotected car. I will run through aftercare when the job is done. Generally it is a matter of keeping the car away from harsh chemicals and abrasive brushes.
